I had dinner with a friend last night, a friend who happens to be good-looking, fun, successful, and a massive pimp (or used to be)–sorry ladies, he’s taken.  And we started discussing why some of our mutual friends were successful with women–either happily married or SBC (Single By Choice)–while others were unmarried and SNBC.

Hating on others, criticizing others, discouraging and subverting others—these behaviors usually stem from a loss of belief in yourself.  I say loss because at some point, every one of us did believe in himself, in his dream, in his boundless potential.  But something—someone even—happened.  And just like that, the grand edifice collapsed like a house of cards.
