Pain is your brain’s way of demanding change. Don’t waste your limited time on this earth trying to run away from it or trying to sweep it under the rug. If you don’t give it due respect, it will come back with a vengeance. You may feel the urge to stuff your face with food, to bury your blues with booze, to marinate your senses with unending titillations. But you mustn’t.
Embrace the pain. Heed its call. Be grateful that it stings like the devil because it means your spirit is still alive and kicking. It kicks because it wants your attention, like a dog that chews up your favorite pair of shoes. It’s time to do something about it.
Loneliness calls for establishing new social ties, and maintaining old ones. Fear demands preparation and training for the coming battles and storms. Self-doubt is to be neutralized by continual rallies of self-affirmation. And the answer to overwhelm is always: nice and easy baby steps.
Worry not. If you make a bloody mess of your life, you can always clean it up after the fact. Even Wolfgang Puck broke a few eggs back in the day. Fear not. You have an unlimited supply of eggs in your kitchen. ‘But which path should I take?’ you might ask. Hold on. Your pain is talking to you. Listen.

I think it’s always hard to take the first step to fight against the pain. But we have to learn and face to that just to get stronger. :)
Love this post! :D
Thanks Alexandra :) Sometimes I’m like, damn, why does it hurt so bad? But once I’ve taken the initial steps to remedy the problem and start to see the light at the end of the dark tunnel, I thank God/The Universe for not letting me take the easy way out.
