Integrity means lining up your walk with your talk. It means doing what you envision; turning ‘I’ll try’ into ‘I’ll do it.’ And it begins with intent.
Intent is the design for a building, the recipe for a cake. When combined with action, the design for a building becomes the building; the recipe for a cake becomes the cake. If you fail to act, you are nothing more than a dreamer, instead of the visionary you were born to become.
When faced with the decision to do the right thing, remember your integrity is on the line. The actions you take either erode or reinforce it. Lack of integrity causes your zest for life to be siphoned off into the abyss. Strength of integrity causes the flood gates to open, your command over them limited only by the scope of your ambition.
Make a deal with yourself: Any time you can dream a worthwhile dream, put your feet to the task until it becomes a tangible, compelling reality. You’ve been playing prince for far too long. It’s time to step up and assume the throne.
