When you think that all is lost, you must not give up. No matter how much you want to lie down in defeat and pull the covers over your head, you must keep fighting. There is no shame in temporarily retreating to your loved ones, but do not allow yourself to become addicted to their compassion, or it will soon turn to pity. You are merely gathering strength so that you may step out into the battlefield with greater zeal and resolve.
Some soldiers do not show any sign of anger, or despair. In fact, they do not show any signs of anything. Do not take that to mean that they are stronger than you. Your sadness is testament to your warrior spirit within. You have not resigned yourself to Fate, living out your days just to “get by.” You have not lost sight of your Vision for the future, because you remind yourself often of why you took sword and shield into your hands long ago.
Think on your past:
After the gloomiest night, came dawn.
After a fog of confusion, came clear skies.
After the coldest winter, came spring.
Your darkest hour is not the time to curse the Heavens, but to continue your training. Reflect on your past Deeds so that you may draw strength from them. Meditate with Nature so that you may revitalize your body and mind. Show Dignity as you march forward, your head held high. Unleash your warrior spirit within, and prepare for Glory.

Giving Up is Not Realistic
I was thinking about some similar things couple days ago, as I’m going through some troubles [ :( ]. But I just let my thoughts come and go. I’m glad you wrote yours down. :)
Alexandra, I’m sorry that you’re going through some troubles :/ You could probably tell from the tone of my last few posts that I was going through a very difficult time as well. Please keep your chin up, because you are just in a winter right now. Spring is just around the corner :)
Winter and spring in LA are pretty much the same…just kidding :) Wish us both good luck :)
Haha, yes, that’s right :)
That’s beautiful … and well worth keeping in mind.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Very, very inspiring! Thanks for uplifting my spirits.
Thanks Oscar :) It is always my pleasure
