People have a strong tendency to only value the things that they’ve worked for. If something is obtained without effort, they will likely take it for granted, neglect it, and occasionally even harbor contempt for it! It’s no surprise then, that the reverse holds true as well.
The more you invest into an endeavor, the greater you perceive its value to be. The more time, energy, and resources you have to expend, the more meaningful it becomes. If you notice, the most daunting task is the one that usually brings you the most fulfillment and enduring satisfaction.
So a lack of motivation is often just a symptom of insufficient self-sacrifice. Before you place your order for success, you must make payments to the world, not in dollars or yuan, but in the currency of sacrifice. The good news is whatever sacrifice you make will be met by an equal or greater amount of success. In this way, the world is generous. The bad news is the world is also strict. She must be paid in full before she will quench your ambition. Any less than a full commitment and she will shut you out in the cold, your unfinished work rendered worthless over time.
There is no prize for would-be champions and halfway heroes. Therefore, if you intend to begin a journey, commit to walking it until the very end.
And this is where true integrity comes from :)
Another great post, my friend!
Thank you very much :)
